Will my items arrive flatpacked?
Our products will arrive flat packed for home assembly with clear instructions provided.
What material is your furniture made from?
The material used for the bed is a high quality melamine faced partial board the same type used in high quality kitchen cabinet furniture.
All our High Beds are Certificated and Pass EN747 (The European equivalent of a British Kite Standard). Tests are done by an Independent Test House to ensure strength, stability, entrapment, suitability and to ensure materials are safe and conform to the necessary requirements.
Recently we were contacted by someone who had been told by another retailer that it was too expensive to test a bed to British Standards, but up to now they have never had a problem. We at Mrs Flatpack don't gamble with your child’s safety all our High Beds have been tested to British Standards.
How much room do you need for assembly?
The majority of our beds require a room width of 2.3m. This is due to the need to be able access all sides of the bed during assembly. We recommend a room width of 2.5m for assembling our Stamford High Sleeper.
What is the weight limit of your beds?
All our beds are weight tested up to 16 stone (101.6kg).
What is the age range for your beds?
Each of our beds has a recommended minimum age depending on the dimensions. This information is available in the listing for each product.
Do you have a minimum ceiling height?
We recommend a minimum clearance height of 60cm from the top of the bed to the ceiling.
Do you have an assembly service?
We do not offer an assembly service, however we can recommend companies for certain areas. We are in the process of expanding the areas we can recommend approved companies for this service. Assembly service companies are fully briefed on our products and installation methods.
Is a mattress included with my bed?
We offer the option of purchasing some of our products with a mattress. These are clearly advised in the listing. We also have the option to purchase mattresses separately on our website. Our beds fit a 200cm length European size mattress. An English standard 190cm length mattress will fit but there will be a 10cm gap at one end.
How long does it take to assemble a bed?
It does depend on the bed you have purchased and your previous experience of constructing flatpack furniture. It takes approximately 4-5 hours and we always recommend 2 people for assembly.
Placing an order
How long does delivery take?
Our promise is to deliver within 15 working days from payment. 95% of our deliveries are made within 10 working days delivered direct from our factory to your home. Deliveries to Scotland may take longer. We do our best to deliver earlier than this of course.
Do you deliver to all areas of the UK?
We deliver to all English and Welsh Mainland areas, plus areas of Scotland South of a line from Dundee to Glasgow, including DD1 to DD6, and PH1-PH5, plus PH12 and PH14 postcodes. We also offer delivery to some postcodes North of Dundee, these are AB10,11,12,13,14,15,16,21,22, 23,24,30,31,32,34,35,36,39,51,52, DD7 to DD11, PH6 to PH13.
We are happy to deliver to an alternative address or shipping company for forward shipping to areas out of our reach.
Please note that deliveries to Scotland can take up to 20 working days. It can take up to 25 working days for delivery to any AB or DD postcode.
Do you deliver to Northern Ireland?
Unfortunately we do not deliver to Northern Ireland, however you may like to visit Love Furniture who are based in Belfast and stock many of our products.
Do you deliver abroad?
Unfortunately we do not deliver overseas. If you would like to proceed with ordering we could deliver to a shipping company of your arrangement or you are welcome to organise a collection from our factory.
Please note that in the case of us delivering to a shipping company, we would need details of the company i.e. contact name, address, telephone number, reference number and opening hours.
Can I collect my order?
You are welcome to collect from our factory. Our warehouse is open for collections on Mondays to Fridays from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
If you could provide as much notice as possible for when you will collect it would be greatly appreciated as we can then have your order ready for you on arrival.

Do you have a showroom?
Unfortunately we do not have a showroom as we are a working factory. We only sell our products online.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payment via;

Once you have completed your order and payment is received, your order will be taken forward to be processed for delivery.
Do you offer a discount if I buy more than one item?
I’m afraid that we are unable to offer a discount for the purchase of multiple items, the best price we can offer is that which is advertised on the website. We are unable to offer a discounted delivery charge for multiple items. The cost of delivery is based on the transport company's charge for the weight and volume of the items they are delivering. It is for that reason each item purchased is charged for delivery.
As the UK manufacturer, we already pass our best prices on to our customers.
How will I know my order has been successful?
Once you have completed your order online, you will receive a confirmation email.
How will my order be delivered?
We use door to door delivery drivers and once a geographical area fills with orders, that 'run' is then delivered. The driver will contact you prior to delivery to confirm which day and provide an estimate time of arrival. If you are unavailable, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can reschedule, Please also consider whether the delivery can be left with a neighbour, in an unlocked garage or outhouse.
Your order will be treated with the utmost care by the Transport Company.
How will the delivery company contact me?
You will receive a text or a phone call at least a day prior to delivery. The driver will confirm the day of your delivery and give you a timeslot when they will be with you. If you are unavailable, you can liaise with them to leave your delivery with a neighbour, in an unlocked garage or outhouse.
Please ensure we have correct contact telephone numbers, preferably a mobile number if possible.
I am unable to assist the driver with the delivery?
That is not a problem as the delivery driver will deliver your order just inside your door and would not normally require any assistance.
Can I cancel my order?
You can cancel at any time prior to your delivery being dispatched. However, if you decide to cancel within a reasonable timeframe after delivery of your order, assuming that the item has not been constructed and is in its original packaging, and in good condition, then we would without prejudice collect the order. There would be a collection charge for this which would be based on your individual return request and this would be taken out of your refund. When the item is returned to our factory it would be inspected and if in good condition then the refund minus the collection charge would be issued. All returns must be packed in the original packing.

Can I cancel my order after commencing construction?
We cannot issue a full refund for goods where assembly has been attempted. We may be prepared to take the goods back if assembly has been attempted or completed, however we can only issue a refund for the balance after allowing for the diminished value as a result of assembly. Under these circumstances it is more beneficial to make a decision before opening the cartons, or starting assembly as once assembled the product has little value as a second hand item.
